Last Classroom Reflection from English Class with Prof. Dr. Marsigit,M.A. on 27th May 2013

The Importance of English in Mathematics Education

In the last session of english of mathematics education, Mr. Marsigit talks about the importance of english in mathematics education. He stressed that english is very important to support us (as a candidate of matheatics teacher) in our effort to communicate in mathematics education. If we can communicate well in english, hopefully, we can be a good communicator for our students. We should be able to communicate to the student clearly and make nice athmosphere of teaching learning process, so that student can learn happily.

Jargon Pertengkaran Tradisional dan Inovatif

Article by Mr. Marsigit
Reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

In the traditional method of teaching, the teachers always behave as if he/she is the only resources of learning mathematics for the students.. In this method, teachers always deliver or give their knowledge to the students. The students just act as a receiver on class, just be a listener, just sit on their chair and waiting for their teachers knowledge to be transfered to them. So that, this method also called as a transfer of knowledge method of teaching. This method of teaching is the most method that most of us used to experienced in the elementary school, junior on maybe in our senior high school. In the inovative approach of teaching learning mathematics the paradigm is that the teacher must facilitate the students on their way to develop their knowledge. So, there is must be exist a trust between the teacher and the student. But, the mos important is, Good teacher are teacher that be able to facilitate their student well. So, as a teacher, we should improve our ability in facilitate the student.

IDEOLOGY and EDUCATION

Article by Mr. Marsigit
Refleceted by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

Ideology and education can walk together to improve the education. Ideology is an idea to achieve the goal. In their journey, education also requires ideology to achieve his goal. If ideology goes in line with the paradigm of education then it will makes it easy to make realization of the purpose of the education.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 21: Mengapa 3+4=7 kontradiktif? (Bagian Kesatu)

Article by Mr. Marsigit
Reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

From the article above,i can also conclude that as a good teacher, we should be able to explain many events in mathematics in the students language. In addition, pure mathematics is difficult to be implemented in the mathematics learning in school. Because the world of the pure mathematics is the world that free from space and time, so it will always trus as long as not bounded by space and time.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 20: Apkh Mat Kontradiktif? (Tanggapn utk Bu Kriswianti bgn kedua)

Article by Mr.Marsigit
reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

Many younger learner dont like mathematics because of the introduction and the development of puremathematics is used. Pure mathematics is not suitable for younger learners because it is insufficient  with enough psychological, social, and constructivist. Therefore, it is necessary to choose the right mathematical definitions to be introduced in schools. That is the definition of a defined school math that defined by Straker and Ebbutt that is about search patterns and relationships, the science of problem solving, the science of investigation activities, and communicating science.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 19: Apakah Mat Kontradiktif? (Tanggapan utk P Handarto C)

Article by Mr. Marsigit
reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

The article above reminded me that there are none in this world that have a perfection. Perfections only belongs to Allah. Or in the word, none in this world that have consistention, absolute consistency only belongs to Allah. We, especially the pure mathematicians, can only assume or presuppose or assume or expect that mathematics is consistent. In contrast, the younger learner's  mathematics is in a world of contradiction.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 18: Apakah Mat Kontradiktif (Tanggapan utk Ibu Kriswianti)

Article by Mr. Marsigit
reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

From the article above i get information that something unexplained the origin can be termed as a myth. Similarly, the math, if mathematicians fail in explaining the notion that comes, the it can be called as a myth in mathematics. With that, we are required to be able to think that mathematics is not just a myth but also as logos.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 17: Apakah Matematika Kontradiktif? (Bagian Ketujuh)

Article by Mr. Marsigit
Reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

From the article above, it was informedthat the identity principle does not privide any information for us,or it can be mentioned that the principle of identity can not be used as a base to form a science. While there are among the definition of mathematics that corresponding to the identity principle. So, if the math is only built with the identity principle, then the math is not a science. Mathematics would be a science if the forming system definition is contradictory.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 15: Apakah Matematika Kontradiktif? (Bagian Kelima)

Article by Prof. Dr. Marsigit,M.A
Reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

In a system, can be ensured that each component of the system must have a relationship between each other. So also in mathematical systems, all of the elements wiil be related to each other. the element cant stand alone without any other element. Because of the world of Logicist-Formalist-Foundationalist only in the world that free from time and space. So, each element will be valid in all space and time. It means that all of them will be trus for everyone, everywhere, and everytime.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 14: Apakah Matematika Kontradiktif? (Bagian Keempat)

Article by Mr. Marsigit
Reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

from the article above,i get information that the contradiction of system mathematics lies on its inconsistention. However, according to the nature of the world, the contradiction is not the identity of the mathematical elements. Or it means that the contradiction is on the contradiction of the elements.

i'm sorry if i made some mistakes.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 13: Apakah Matematika Kontradiktif? (Bagian Ketiga)

Article by Mr. Marsigit
Reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

From the article above, i can get information that by intensive and extensive thought, we would be able to think ontologicaly and naturally. By this way of thinking, we will find that the methods of logic and method of formal do not include the full essence of the nature of the world that include the nature of free from space and time and the nature of bounded by space and time. So, it can be found that the work of the Logicits-Formalist-Foundationalist  is incomplete.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 12: Apakah Matematika Kontradiktif? (Bagian kedua)

Article by Mr. Marsigit
reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

Due to the scale of accuracy in looking and testing the consistecy and the incontardiction in mathematical system is regard to the start-end system, sub-systems,and the elements. And it is founded that the elements of the mathematical system have a contradictory. Then the system needs to be questioned wheter the system will always be incontradict. But, over the time, the logicist-formalist-foundationalist has succeeded in building a mathematical system that is consistent and not contradictory by construct a closed mathematical system.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 11: Apakah Matematika Kontradiktif ? (Bagian Kesatu)

Article by Mr. Marsigit
Reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

From the article, what can i get is that the logicist and formalist there is no contradiction in mathematics. If there are inconsistencies that found, then it is the wrong mathematics. Then, the thing i can get is that something not consistent is not necessarily contradiction, but contradiction must not be consistent. What should be questioned is how carefully we examine the consistency of the logic and formal form of mathematics.

Identification the Problems on The Effort to Improve Teaching Learning Practice

Article by Mr. Marsigit
Reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

This is an article that will be very useful for the candidates of teachers like me. By knowing what problems that are being faced by teachers at this time, the teacher candidates is expected to identify the solution of these problems. So that all of it can be used as learning media to be a good teacher. In addition to using it as a personal learning, we are also can publish it in order to make corrections for ourselves and the others.

Elegi Pemberontakan Pendidikan Matematika 4: Kompetensi Matematika juga Menghasilkan Mathematical Intuition

Article by Mr. Marsigit

Mathematical competence can also produce mathematical intuition. All the people can share ideas. Then it will make the ideas arround us developed as much they can produce, but from all that ideas, just be taken one generally acceoted idea. So it will be required the competence in making more general ideas. With it,we can obtain precious experiences in finding the best idea. And with that experience, mathematical intuition can be produced.

The anxiety of Mathematics Teachers and Their Problems

Article by Mr. Marsigit
Reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

From the article, can be seen that there are still many teachers that facing a problem. Some of them find the problem in selecting an appropriate textbook for their students. They do not have the right criteria to select them. Then, there are some teachers that ask about the effectiveness of the innovative learning. For example, disscusion group method that they already used give no immediate effect on the national exam preparation. In addition, they found that in the implementation of learning process, they do so by hope that the students get good value in national examination, not to implement in daily life. Then, they also find that the time for student to be truly learn the mathematics is quite long, because there are a lot of material that they should learn. The last mentioned is the teachers still confused about the minimum standard that must be met in developing student's worksheet.

To Develop Lesson Plan for Secondary Mathematics Teaching (Mengembangkan RPP Untuk PBM Matematika di SMP)

Article by Mr. Marsigit
refelected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

Teachers ability to be a good facilitator for their student is needed. In their facilitating process, the teacher will greatly helped by the variation of the learning media. After that, the teacher must be able to develop the media in order to support the succesful of the learning of mathematics. The best source of learning is learning resources developed by the teachers themselves because they already know the conditions that exist on the students themselves. As a good facilitator, the teachers must be able to create learning activities where the students can play an active role in the process of constructing their knowledge. therefore, Its necessary to be exist a trust between teachers and their students.

Satans will use any means to make all of creatures in this world temted to commit an act of disgraceful. they have many cunning ways to persuade people to disobey the God. Especially of our faith is not strong, we will be easily persuaded by the persuasion of the satans the accursed. However, there are many ways to avoid the temtations of satans, first we must fix our faith, we must always fortify ourselves with obedience to Allah. We must ask to Allah to always be avoided from the temtation of satans. we also have to often read the Quran and remember Allah everytime.

Elegi Ritual Ikhlas 42: Mengubah Mitos menjadi Logos

 Article by Mr. Marsigit
Reflected by Agusti Eka Dyah Larasati

So easy for someone to be trapped in the arrogance, especially when they feel higher then the others. At the same time, they will feel insecure and inferior when dealing with someone who has a higher level than him.
Take a look at ourselves as God sees us.God sees us as a precious creation, then we must respect ourselves. Similarly, without God we are nothing, that's why we should not be arrogant and boast ourselves. May we distanced from bad attitude like arrogance, selfishness, and determined character.
